About Us

Melissa is a Mental Health Therapist and the founder of LWCC in 2012.  Melissa obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1994 and a Master’s degree in Counseling in 2001.  She is licensed through the Professional Wellness Association as a Christian Mental Health Therapist and integrates Biblical, Neuropsychological and Natural Health tools into her Christian Counseling practices. Melissa specializes in working with individuals looking to overcome past trauma so they can reach their full potential both personally and professionally.

Kelli is an LPCC (licensed professional clinical counselor) and obtained a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. Kelli’s speciality is working with women who desire healing from trauma and deep wounds that present themselves as anxiety, depression, and body image issues.
Kelli uses a variety of counseling techniques including EMDR (an effective trauma therapy) and parts work to help individuals change the way they think about their story. Kelli’s goal is to walk with people into deep restoration and help them align with their God-given identity. She believes no one is too far gone to experience redemption in their own soul, relationship with God, or relationship with others.

Michael is a licensed independent clinical social worker, who obtained a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of St. Thomas. Michael also obtained a Bachleors degree in Pastoral Studies from North Central University.  Michael has experience working with complex cases involving trauma, suicidal ideation, and self-harm. Michael uses a psychodynamic approach along with CBT and DBT interventions. Michael has spent most of his career working with adolescents and families but has experience working with adults as well.

Michael relies on the Holy Spirit to bring complete healing and freedom to individuals. Michael listens for the voice of the Holy Spirit to guide and direct him. He does this so he can speak truth to the lies that individuals are believing about themselves. Michael wants to open your spiritual eyes to see that Jesus has never left you nor forgotten you.

Tamara earned her Masters in School Counseling in 2016 from Adler Graduate School, a Master’s in Education from Saint Mary’s University in 2004 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Moorhead State University in 1996. She most recently earned a certificate in Christian Mental Health Coaching from Light University and is trained in Cognitive Coaching. Tamara has been working as a professional School Counselor for seven years, and has been a teacher at public and christian schools since 1996. Tamara specializes in working with adolescents and families and has extensive background working with anxiety, depression, executive functioning, ADHD, and grief.  Tamara brings a faith and biblical perspective to her clients in effort to help them clarify their goals, uncover any obstacles that may be preventing them from taking their best next steps, and helping them to have the courage to walk in faith trusting God as they discover their gifts and talents. Tamara uses a personal and strengths based approach as she helps her clients work through the journey they are on. Tamara is committed to providing a safe, confidential,  and faithful presence to every client.
